Hey, I’m Matt.
I am a people-first revenue leader who scales companies by building psychologically safe, high-performing teams and aligning cross-functional go-to-market strategy to sustainable growth.
My Approach
Collaborative
My sales philosophy is rooted in the belief that revenue scales fastest when every department is pulling in the same direction. I partner closely with marketing, product, operations, and customer success to turn market and customer insights into clear strategies, informed roadmaps, and frictionless delivery. By aligning on shared goals, transparent communication, and measurable outcomes, I help create an environment where deals are not only won, but implemented smoothly, renewed consistently, and expanded over time. This cross-functional mindset has been central to how I lead teams, structure processes, and ultimately help businesses grow in a way that is both sustainable and scalable.
Psychological Safety and Boots on the Ground
A core part of my leadership style is creating psychological safety so people at every level feel comfortable speaking up with ideas, concerns, and honest feedback. I’m intentional about listening more than I talk, inviting perspectives from SDRs to executives, and making it clear that good ideas aren’t tied to job titles. In practice, that means I ask open questions, thank people for pushing back or offering a different view, and separate critique of an idea from critique of a person. This environment of trust not only helps my teams grow personally and professionally, it also surfaces the on-the-ground insights that lead to better decisions, stronger execution, and healthier performance over time.
Multi-year life sciences labeling deal – $20M total contract value
A global life sciences company was struggling with inconsistent, error-prone label translations that were triggering regulatory findings and delays across several key markets. I led the pursuit by first mapping their end-to-end labeling workflow with regulatory, quality, and regional teams, uncovering where handoffs, terminology gaps, and country-specific requirements posed risks.
From there, I partnered with our operations and linguist teams to design a centralized, compliant labeling translation program with standardized glossaries, in-country review, and QA steps aligned to FDA, EMA, and other local regulators. I then structured and negotiated a multi-year agreement that ramped volumes over four years, balanced price protection with flexibility, and tied commercial terms to service-level and regulatory outcomes; ultimately securing a $5M-per-year contract, $20M in total value, while significantly reducing their relabeling risk and time-to-market.
Case Studies
Global eCommerce localization partnership – $2M annual spend, 50% productivity lift
A well-known eCommerce brand came to us after churning through multiple localization vendors who either over-promised and missed deadlines or delivered poor-quality translations that hurt conversion and brand trust. In discovery, I focused on rebuilding trust first, being transparent about what we could realistically deliver, where we’d need a phased approach, and how we would measure quality across thousands of SKUs and markets.
Working closely with their product, content, and engineering teams, I co-designed a hybrid technical and AI-driven workflow that automated repetitive steps, implemented terminology and quality controls, and reserved human linguists for high-impact content. This flexible model respected their internal constraints, allowed us to under-promise and consistently over-deliver on quality and turnaround, and ultimately increased localization throughput by roughly 50% while securing nearly $2M in annual spend and a long-term strategic partnership.
Global learning company – 40+ languages at the click of a button
A world-renowned learning company approached us looking for a way to translate their digital courses into more than 40 languages with essentially a single click, without sacrificing learner experience. Instead of jumping straight to tools, I started by helping their L&D, product, and regional stakeholders clarify what mattered most: where they could accept pure machine translation, where they needed human-in-the-loop QA, and how to balance speed, quality, and cost across different course types and markets.
From there, I led the design of a customized, tech-enabled workflow that combined AI-powered translation, smart content extraction from authoring tools, translation memory, and streamlined reintegration back into their LMS, giving them near “click-to-translate” simplicity with governance around terminology and review. The solution allowed them to roll out multilingual courses rapidly and sustainably, and it evolved into a long-term partnership with approximately $1.75M in annual spend.
What former clients and co-workers are saying
“I’ve been fortunate to work with exceptional leaders over my sales career, and Matt is one of the very best. He was my manager, but more importantly, a true leader, someone who led by example every single day, whether sharing the vision behind the Global eLearning brand he launched, or guiding our team through difficult, high-pressure situations, including selling through COVID, adapting to AI-driven tools, and navigating rapidly changing market demands. Even through these challenges, we retained major clients and consistently hit key targets. Any team would be lucky to have him at the helm.”
Joe Seward, Senior Business Developer, Global eLearning
Matt and I worked together at Compass Languages—he led GeL, which he built from the ground up. I joined Compass to establish the NGO Languages brand, and he helped me tremendously. For our three years as colleagues, Matt mentored me and cheered me on. Along the way, he became a lifelong friend, too. I learned so much from Matt! Matt’s superpowers are many more than the average human—he’s brilliant but incredibly humble and understated, while being the kind of leader that every leader should be: effective because he champions others to be their best selves. He’s aces at sales because he’s just great at cultivating relationships, building immediate and very genuine trust, and conveying the heart of a product to align with a client’s values and needs. Matt is also plain old fun to work with. Anyone would be lucky to work with him, and I hope I get to work with him again, someday, too.
Stephanie Double, Senior Manager Development, WRAP

Matthew knows the eLearning and language services world inside out, and he’s genuinely passionate about it. He’s an excellent communicator who sets clear expectations and makes a point of celebrating successes, both big and small. He has a real talent for recognizing each team member’s strengths and areas for growth, helping us build on what we do best and improve where needed.”

One of the most valuable traits I appreciated in my working relationship with Matt was how honest and straightforward he was. I’m a husband and dad first, and just about everything I do is anchored in my love for my beautiful wife and our three boys. Some of my favorite moments are simple ones—playing sports in the yard, exploring new places together, or just laughing around the house after a long day. I’m curious by nature and energized by new experiences, whether that’s traveling to a different country or trying something small and new with my kids. At my core, I care deeply about being present with those around me, setting a good example, and helping people I come into contact with grow into the best version of themselves.

Family comes first.
A lot of my time outside of work is spent coaching youth sports and supporting my kids in whatever they’re pursuing. There’s nothing better than watching the future grow, not just in skill, but in confidence. Seeing kids fall in love with a game, learn discipline, and believe in themselves is incredibly rewarding.
I’m also big on staying active. Strength training, athletics, and competition keep me sharp and grounded. Physical discipline fuels mental clarity.
I’m a lifelong learner, always reading, exploring new ideas, and staying curious about leadership, performance, and human behavior. I enjoy great films and series that explore strategy and resilience, and I’ve always loved board games for the mix of fun and long-term thinking they require.
Travel keeps us grounded and curious as a family. New places, new perspectives, new culture, it’s one of the best teachers.
Growth, at home, in sport, and in life, is what energizes me most.
